argh, it's perfect - but then again, you don't get more perfect than nature. I love it when you take pictures of scenes with water - lakes, ponds, things liek that - probably just because water means everything to life and to me. Again, fantastic pic <3

A dragon!! A beautiful, graceful, fiery dragon! How ever did you manage to catch one on camera. (They are camera shy :])

' A fire burning in the sky,
Barely seen, barely heard though the haze,
It fights to break free,
But it is engulfed,
Entrapped within the clouds,
With waves gently lapsing,
I wait patently. '

Beautiful capture!

This is such a captivating shot. I like how you captured some of the dirt and muddy apperance in the foreground, the coloration looks like a reddish-brown mix and I like how there are a few, green bits of grass in it.
I also really love the look of the water, it's wonderfully horizontal in this shot -- which is great, sometimes taking shots like these I find I slip up a teensy bit with keeping it level --- unless you were using a tripod xD

It's also very, very clear yet the camera picked up on the texture of the water. I love how the reflection of the sky sits on it, and how there are a few rings of movement here and there.
I also really like that large log sitting in the foreground, it reminds me of those piles of hay one would see in the fields.
I also think it adds a great thing to this piece too, it would seem empty without it there.

The look of the trees across the water is great too, I like how they are very close together and how we can make out the green of their leaves. There's an interesting amount of shadow and lighting too.

And the sky, the sky is fantastic! I've never really seen it look like this, so that's something I find makes this shot extra special. I love the haziness of it, and how smoky it looks. The colors on it are great too, I like how the sky beyond looks like a dark grayish-blue while the front bits have a pale orange-yellow coloration.
I also like how there's a small bit of fog rolling over the water, it seems to layer it just so, but makes a nice detail to the shot.

I, personally, don't have much negative based critique to say to this, because this is something nature provided for you so you can't really do much about it, and I just don't find anything off.

But I really love it though!
Great job!!

thanks so much for the in depth comment it made me smile.

nope no tripod, i never use one but i've considered using it lately. thats also exactly what that log reminded me of. i thought it was at first until i got closer to it. the sky was very weird to me, was a hot night beforehand so i guess the fog made the sky look even more strange. i have other pictures up from this sunrise and they all look pretty different than what im used to seeing. it was an awesome sight though.

thanks again! :D

Awww, I'm glad! ^^

Really? My goodness! You have nice, steady hands then! Unless this was the 5th of 100 shots or something :lmao:
Mmm, sometimes I do realize they would be quite helpful.

Ahaha, cool! It'd be far more questionable if it WAS hay in the water, I could only imagine how a story like that would have played out XD Which..may be a good idea, I think I might just do that! Would I be able to, my fellow deviant?

Aaaa, well that's pretty neat! Makes me think I should try for some more sunrise shots soon, if only I'd be this lucky XD
And other photos makes me want to check it out... your gallery is beautiful with them already ^^

How long have you been taking pictures for?

Any time! ^^
