Yes this is real! I was hiking in Hawk Mountain in 2011, and I looked down and I saw this laying amongst many other leaves against a rock. I noticed the heart shape and thought it was cool, even more so because of the red leaf that was already laying under it, so I took a picture. It is funny sometimes what you find in life when you aren't looking...
